Conference “Financing Creativity” Athens, 20-21/02/2014 Concept Outline The Conference «Financing Creativity», organized by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports and cofounded by the European Commission, during the Greek Presidency of the EU in the first half of 2014, aims to inform on the growing importance of the creative economy and survey existing tools and expertise that facilitate access to finance. It also examines the right conditions that must exist for creativity and innovation to flourish within a culture of entrepreneurship and focuses on the quest of efficient strategies leading to social and economic prosperity. The Conference addresses to central and local government agencies, banks, chambers of commerce and professional organizations, universities, venture capital companies and creative industries, artists and culture professionals, cultural institutions, NGO’s, etc. «Internationalization and Cultural Exports: Opportunities and Challenges in the Digital Era» The importance of export markets is evident in many of the cultural and creative industries strategic documents and studies. In this session presentations will be centered around ways to generate export revenues and create jobs to overcome the pitfalls of a limited home market and public and private initiatives that endeavor to support export initiatives for CCI’s.
