7. Jesus the Healer
• Could have been a common way that
people referred to our Lord during his life
time. We see in many places of the Bible, that
crowdsrushed towards Jesus for healing.
• One could only imagine how they gathered
family and friends when Jesus was passing
through their towns.
8. Luke chapter 6:17 states,
• “.. he came down with them and stood on a level
place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a
great multitude of people from all Judea and
Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,
who came to hear him and to be healed of their
diseases; and those who were troubled with
unclean spirits were cured. And all the crowd
sought to touch him, for power came forth from
him and healed them all.
9. • He had the power to perform miracles.
• Healing was essential to the ministry of Jesus
because it symbolized His success in the
spiritualwarfare between Himself and Satan.
In ongoing discussionsabout evil, all secular,
and many Christian thinkers fail to mention
Satan as the agent by which illness, disease,
and disaster entered the world.
10. • Healing was essential to the
ministry of Jesus because He
envisioned healing as a physical
symbol of forgiveness.
• Healing was essential to the
ministry of Jesus because healings
offered indisputable evidence that
He is the Christ.
17. • Jesus feed the five thousand
people (Matt 14:13-21
• Jesus feed the four thousand
people (Matt 15:29-39)
18. I am the Bread
of Life
John 6:35
“He who comes to me will never go
hungry, and he who believes in me will
never be thirsty.” -
19. John 6:26
• 26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you
are looking for me, not because you saw the
signs I performed but because you ate the
loaves and had your fill.
“So which bread are you eating today? Is it
something you found in the refrigerator that you
got at the market down the street? Or is it the
real thing, Jesus?”

22.
23. 3. Jesus will give liberty to the captive
and oppressed.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to
proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to
the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those
who are oppressed~ Luke 4:18
25. Imprisoned no more…
The Lord has anointed me . . . to proclaim
liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners
(Is. 61:1).
26.
27. • "Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed
Him, 'If you abide in My word, you are My
disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free' .... .Jesus
answeredthem, 'Most assuredly, I say to
you, whoever commitssin is a slave of sin.
And a slave does not abide in the house
forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if
the Son makes you free, you shall be free
indeed'"- John 8:32, 34-36.
