- The trends are clear: revenues are decreasing amid economic contraction. Simultaneously, expectations of organizations are increasing, and the IT services your organization delivers are expected to be on par. As such, many seemingly contradictory requirements are placed on you: performance versus cost, mobility versus security, innovation versus reliability and continuity, and flexibility versus control. Further, people everywhere look to their organizations to lead in environmental sustainability. Helping IT professionals find the right balance between these seemingly mutually exclusive imperatives is important to us.
- In virtualized systems, workflow to one failed virtual component can be instantly and automatically rerouted to an identical virtual component—even one that’s geographically remote. Domino pattern failures that cause entire system crashes are reduced or eliminated. Even older, less stable applications can be operated in a secure, isolated environment. And failed system restoration is often as simple as copying a file onto a new machine.
