3. Excess weight in Hertfordshire 2012
⢠61.8% of adults (16+) had a BMI equal to or greater than
25.
⢠The prevalence of excess weight in Hertfordshire is
significantly less than for England (63.8%).
⢠Broxbourne (70.2%) had the highest percentage of
excess weight in Hertfordshire. This was significantly
higher than Hertfordshire
⢠Welwyn Hatfield (52.7%) had the lowest percentage of
excess weight which was significantly less than
Hertfordshire.

healthy weight and increasing physical
activity
