  2. Segmentation is best method to identify target market. Segmentation is an art rather than science. There are many way to segment the potential target market, and in medical tourism we can segment target in Four major groups. The first group includes patients from developed countries who do not have, or have inadequate, health insurance coverage. The high cost is major driver.The second group includes individuals countries such as United Kingdom and Canada, who face long waiting lists for non-elective surgery andother critical procedures. In the United Kingdom, many individuals choose to pay formedical treatment abroad to avoid long waiting lists.The third group includes individuals looking for affordable cosmetic procedures.The fourth group of medical travelers includes individuals seeking quality assured, often specialized, care that is unavailable or in short supply in their own country for example Most of Middle east countries, specially GCC states.countries.This last group also includes an increasing number of medical travelers from developingand least developed countries seeking better health care infrastructure at affordable pricesin their own neighborhood.
  3. In the case of medical tourism related travel, there is sufficient evidence from past studies which indicates that perceptions of destinations and the value of medical solutions are positively correlated. Hence organizations must consider all these three factors before developing brand strategies.

  5. There are several cornerstone concepts to remember when treating a Muslim or Arab patient. The material which I am going to present is for the information of all who are concerned with the medical, social and welfare needs of Muslims.However being non-muslim and with limited understanding about Islam, I do not in any was state that all information mentioned in my presentation is absolute relevant to Islamic beliefs. I strongly recommend further study & understanding for all providers.
