If 假設語氣 : (與過去事實相反的假設)


與過去事實不符之假設


If + S + had + 一般 V (p.p)…, S + would + have + 一般 V (p.p)
If you had listened to me, you would have won the contract.
如果你之前有聽我的話,你早就拿到那份合約了。

TOEIC 考題解析:


題型 1. If Mr. Musso _____ the brochure with him, he would have given it to you. (B)
A)   would have
B)   had had
                              解題技巧:
C)   had
                              考生如果看到 if 條件句出現,請注意主要子句中的動詞
D)   has
                              部分,如果是 would + have + p.p,代表此句為”與過去事
                              實不符”之假設,If 所帶領之附屬句動詞須用”過去式”.


題型 2. If we had started earlier, we _____ the deadline. (B)
A) would meet
B) would have met
C) will meet                解題技巧:
D) will have met            反之,另一種考法是直接挖空主要子句,因此這種考法反
                            而簡單,考生只要發現 if 子句中的動詞是過去完成式,
                            那麼就毫不考慮的選擇 would + have + p.p 吧!
