7. Second step : In order to defend the right, we carried out a research about the abuse of Social Media. Some problems addressed: 1- absence of assessment / indicators in awareness strategies 2- social actors worked separately : teachers + students + parents / carers 3.- Poor awareness, among children and teenagers on how to use new media avoiding the risks 4- poor knowledge among educators and parents 5- a model of strategy and contents for EDUCATIONAL /RIGHTS PROMOTION campaign Stop violence in social media – Daphne III Project SAFE SOCIAL MEDIA Vienna April 14-15th, 2011 Project funded by the European Union

Third step: In order to solve some of these problems we have created Safe Social Media an educational project “to navigate without drowning” for Schools with social actors together: parents, educators and students.
