What is nano-technology? Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the molecular scale covers both current work and concepts that are more advanced.  ‘Nanotechnology' also refers to the projected ability to construct items from the bottom up, using techniques and tools being developed today to make complete, high performance products.

More about DNA nanotech Tile based Structures Tile-based structures is the idea of creating DNA nano-structures out of smaller, discrete units.
Folding Structures Create 2D DNA structures from a long strand of arbitrary DNA sequence  They are then folded into the desired shape of the structure using shorter strands.  We can use this method of DNA nano-technology to create 2D “nano-sized” shapes using DNA.
Top-down approaches Nanoelectromechanical Systems To Create smaller devices by using larger ones makes use of the chemical properties of single molecules to cause singular molecular components to self-organise or carry out positional assembly.  These two ideas make use of the concept of molecular self-assembly or molecular recognition to create nano-structures.
Uses of nano-technology in our daily life Sunscreens sunscreens contain nanoparticles of zinc oxide or titanium oxide. Older sunscreen formulas use larger particles, which is what gives most sunscreens their white colour. nano particles are less visible  when you rub the sunscreen into your skin, it doesn't give you a whitish colour
Clothing Manufacturers Coat fabrics with a thin layer of zinc oxide nanoparticles Able to create clothes that give better protection from UV radiation. Other clothes have nano particles in the form of minute “hair” or “whiskers” Make clothing stain resistant.
Anti bacterial Bandages Use nano particles of silver in the process of manufacturing the bandage Silver ions block microbes' cellular respiration (Silver smothers harmful cells and killthem)

My personal inputs on nano-technology I find that this invention of nano-technology is a great milestone of human inventions and likewise, it is a great milestone for science and technology. Even at this point of time, nano-technology is already harnessed in so many ways so we can imagine that next time, nano-technology will be harnessed in uncountable areas.
(continued) I also find that nano-technology is very useful as we get to build very minute objects such as machines in the medical field such as treating cancer cells et cetera. I believe that the invention of such a technology proves to all of mankind that nothing is impossible with the help of science and technology as we all know that once, people never even bore the slightest thought that creating nano objects was even possible

  • 18. My personal inputs on nano-technology I find that this invention of nano-technology is a great milestone of human inventions and likewise, it is a great milestone for science and technology. Even at this point of time, nano-technology is already harnessed in so many ways so we can imagine that next time, nano-technology will be harnessed in uncountable areas.
