Buddhism is made up of three branches with different beliefs and five major rules for spiritual cleanliness. It is a philosophical religion centered around the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, with different schools interpreting the teachings in their own way. Buddhism began as the oral teachings of Buddha in India and is now the fourth largest religion worldwide, with the oldest surviving school being Theravada.
