The Probuda 1967 Public Chitalishte in Plovdivtsi, Bulgaria serves three neighboring villages with a total population of 540 people. The chitalishte has its own building from 1971 that hosts a library with over 6,000 items, making it one of the best stocked in the region. Through the Glob@l Libraries-Bulgaria program, the library now offers modern computer equipment, free internet access, and a variety of information sources to the local community, in addition to its traditional services. The Young Friends of Books Club uses the new technologies to research topics, create presentations in PowerPoint, and improve their presentation skills while having fun.
