For anyone Suffering from Chronic Pain - Qigong Can Provide Relief

Qigong, a type of Chinese healing that dates back thousands of years, is a practice in which some
professional acupuncturists are trained. This type of TCM or Traditional Chinese Medicine is a form
of highly recommended healthful exercise. Other TCM branches include herbal medicine, tui na
massage, and the more commonly known acupuncture. To promote the healing of the physical body,
these techniques work to promote the growth of the patient's life energy. The technique consists of
Chi gung or rhythmic breathing accompanied by specified movements. The technique focuses on
posing the patient in various positions and repeating certain movements that are meant to promote
the flow of the person's Qi or life force.
This practice has been shown to improve the health of the mind, body, and spirit through helping the
patient to reach a state of meditation. In order to increase the bodily benefits of the technique, the
exercise has drawn from a number of different areas including martial arts philosophy, and
medicine. Our bodies are surrounded by electromagnetic energy which can easily be disturbed by
the hectic environment of the typical person's modern life. Blockages inhibit the flow of Qi, or
energy can happen when we spend too many hours sitting at work, or have long periods of inactivity.
Also blocking the Qi are conditions like injury, lack of healthy nutrition, suppressing our emotional
reactions, or just aging. Correcting these imbalances eliminates these blockages and enables the Qi
to flow freely again, improving many functions, such the regulation of organs, improving your
immune function and keeping your nervous system in perfect balance.
Traditional Chinese medicine is coming into its own, all across the world. Doctors have using the
practice of Qigong in clinics and hospitals to treat many different kinds of ailments. The practice has
given relief to those who are experiencing side effects due to chemotherapy and cancer radiation
treatments. Individuals have also experienced relief from symptoms caused by Parkinson's Disease,
MS, cerebral palsy, and strokes. Many individuals who are suffering from conditions such as
respiratory problems, digestive issues, chronic pain, as well as ailments of the nervous and
cardiovascular system have shown marked benefits when practicing these healing techniques.
Numerous professional acupuncturists are also licensed in other practices including cupping,
moxibustion, and herbology just to name a few. In order to promote the flow of gi, Chinese medicine
stresses the importance of maintaining balance between the yin and yang. Through these ancient
techniques, countless patients are able to experience relief and healing from countless ailments.
