2. Living your life to the maximum of your
potential is the key to success
It comes from loads of hard work and determination,
since the human body is made to drive in one
particular direction with complete passion and focus.
3. Running for making money should not be
the ultimate goal
This will lead to losing what you already have, and
you may actually underutilize your their own skills.
Every success is directly proportional to the goals and
success statement you made. My success statement
is: “Focus and hard work in a proper direction
always pay you out”
4. Be on the right door at the right time is a
matter of luck
Some people achieve it quickly, and some spend
their whole life to find it, but strength and focus
towards your goal always helps you to move one step
forward. Money shouldn’t be the utmost priority, but
it does not mean that it's not required, money helps
you out to a certain level, if your pockets are empty,
then your focus might deviate from the goal.
5. 1. Don’t chase methods to make money
It sounds difficult, but there is a very important lesson
hidden in this statement. Success is not in finding ways and
shortcuts to make more money but to make money run
after you, this can be achieved only through excellence.
Remember, you have to remain focused, and at times
dreams of making money stray you away from your path
and thus increases the urge of just gathering money, not
creating a long-term and ever-lasting effect.
“Too many people spend money they earned, to buy things
they don’t want, to impress people that they don’t like” –
Will Rogers
6. 2. Helping others is helping yourself
If we look back, we get numerous examples of
successful people who worked for others, or I would
say that the center of their attention was to serve
people, through their product or service. Your product
should be based on value-based analysis, and not just
profit-based analysis. The success of others is
augmenting your success, helping others in achieving
their dreams is benefiting yourself with ultimate fame,
motivation and satisfaction, which are most necessary
factors to become a successful person.
7. 3. Serve masses
Many companies focus on varying business models;
the best models are those which are made for the
masses, because masses help you to promote your
product or convey your message to the public. Try to
convert your customers into brand advocates,
instead of just up selling them or leaving them
dissatisfied. Serving a million will undoubtedly draws
billions in your account with your fame multiplied by
infinity.
8. 4. Invest in your resources and add
more
People have different kinds of mindsets, some look
for money, some look for benefits, and then there
are those who look for adding more and more to
what they are already providing, being their core
competency.
“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is
dressed in overalls and looks like work” –Thomas
Edison
9. 4. Invest in your resources and add
more (Cont…)
Opportunities usually comes in a disguised
packaging, one common mistake is people look at
opportunity as a way to make money, which is not
necessarily useful, because once you start measuring
opportunities with money, you will limit yourself to
keep your effort till the time it pays you out, if it does
not pay, you will quit it and quitting from problems
leads to failures.
10. 4. Invest in your resources and add
more (Cont…)
Then there are some people who work for benefits,
which could be anything, either benefiting yourself
through perks on the job or benefiting yourself through
status-quo and respect. Both peoples are equally
making one common mistake, which is making you
dependant on something that changes with the time.
“Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a
way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the
game.” Donald Trump
11. 5. Make core competencies better
In order to be a successful person, you consistently
need to evaluate yourself, and keep a check on your
strengths and weaknesses, to get an idea what you
are good at, since your core competencies create
differentiation amongst others. Self-criticizing in a
positive manner is the best technique to embark
yourself continuously on the road to achievement.
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that
won't work.” Thomas Edison
12. 6. Benchmark yourself
Select a pool of successful people and analyse their
journey, you will come to know how to use your skills
to reach higher than you are. Learning is what makes
them different from others, it is what makes people
believe in their successfulness, and it is the criteria
through which the world recognizes them as
successful. It will make you realize the behaviours
and attitude of people towards success and thus
giving you the motivation and a direction to follow.
13. 7. Measure the progress
Measuring your progress gives you a reality check of
your distance from your actual goal. Weekly or
monthly progress keeps you curious and motivated
towards your goal. The process is simple; you need
to create a vision, then break in into number of
achievable goals, and then carefully set deadlines,
followed by passionately meeting them and
measuring your progress.
14. 8. Scheduling
Establish a routine for yourself and religiously follow
it to ensure your progress, once you start measuring
it, you will have an urge to achieve it and for that
sense of achievement, you have to make a routine,
which will eventually become a habit. Scheduling
your tasks, defining your priorities, allocating time
for your personal / mental health, and the daily
activities should be listed down in an order to be
productive.
15. 8. Scheduling (Cont…)
When you need to achieve something bigger, it is always
recommended that you should break the project into minor
tasks that are manageable on daily basis. The idea is to keep
on working consistently towards achieving your goal. We have
a great example from nature: if you sow a plant and keep on
watering it daily, it will gradually grow and become more
strong, whereas if this activity is performed once a week, the
growth of the plant will be slower and there are chances it
might die as well.
16. In the end, I would like to conclude it by saying that
what you are today should be better than what you
were yesterday; make your future as much
impressive as you can.
“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to
succeed.” Theodore Roosevelt
