2. Definition of Terms:
• CIPS – Certified International Property Specialist
• CIPS Candidates – are Qualified Individuals
who, successfully completed the Course and
have declared their CIPS candidacy by so
notifying NAR in writing and having paid all fees
then required.
• CIPS Designees shall mean those Qualified
Individuals who have been awarded the CIPS
designation after fulfilling the following
requirements within two (2) years after declaring
their CIPS candidacy: (i) successful completion
of the CIPS Institute courses; (ii) completion of an

application to become a CIPS Designee; and (iii)
payment of all fees then required.

whose principal real estate business is located
within the United States or one of its territories,
