When a person smokes, the nicotine attaches to
receptors that go to your brain and stimulate the
release of Dopamine, which causes the feeling of
pleasure people get from tobacco.
Chantix blocks this receptor so dopamine can't be
released, and therefore, people don't receive that
pleasure feeling when they smoke.
