Women's participation in politics and decision-making processes in Georgia has declined in recent years according to election data. While Georgia has taken steps to establish policies and organizations to promote gender equality since 1998, women remain underrepresented in parliament and government positions. Currently there is an effort to address this issue and support gender equality mechanisms, but fully funding these programs remains a challenge.
