Introduction
Never, ever let a disagreement grow into something much bigger than it was meant to be. e idea of two di erent
people from two di erent families having two di erent opinions shouldn’t sound foreign…because it’s not. at’s
normal. What’s not normal is having di erent opinions and not being able to communicate them e ectively and
ultimately creating an environment for disagreements that can stem out of control. Take the high road, keep your
voice and tone in check, be respectful (your spouse is not your child) and understand that it’s ok to agree to disagree.
Life does goes on a er someone voices a di erent opinion and 99% of the time common ground can be found.

Challenge
Come up with your favorite 5 tv/movie couples ever. Find an argument or con ict they had. Pause the movie/
show in the midst of the argument and come up with 3 ways that the argument could’ve been avoided. Each
person gets 2 mins to talk, so use a timer.
