This presentation explains that Professional Development Schools or PDSs are a type of educational reform in which renewal efforts focus on teacher preparation programs and professional development.  Through these vehicles educational reform is implemented by empowering teachers, administrators, and university faculty in decision making through collaboration. It is our hope that through this toolkit presentation that we will educate you about the Benedum Collaborative’s model of educational reform, the power of being a PDS, and the value of having regular educators involved in teacher preparation and the design of their own professional development. Since this is all brought about through a collaborative effort the title for this presentation is “Meeting in the Middle”.
