I used this presentation in a midweek sermon. The flow and information is from Lolo Oseas so I hope it will be useful for anyone who might need it. Feel free to make changes if you like ^^
2. In1975 Philippines Wide Youth Congress, was
held in Bacolod City. Two groups of AY delegation
were at the pier of Negros Navigation on Sunday
before the start of the youth congress.
‘GYMNAIRES’ for Christ of PUC and AY from the
Northern Luzon Mission were waiting to board
Dona Florentina, it was scheduled to depart at
1:00pm. Gymnaires had Boarding Passes while
the NLM delegates had Tickets. The two
delegations were not allowed to board the boat
when it departed at 1:00pm because all
passengers must BOTH have the Tickets and
Boarding Passes.
3. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A
TICKET AND A BOARDING PASS
Ticket= voucher of payment for
admission
Boarding pass=permission to come
aboard
4. Matthew 7:21-23 –
21- “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord,
Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but
only he who does the will of my Father who
is in heaven.”
22 - “Many will say to me on that day,
‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your
name, and in your name drive out demons,
and perform many miracles?”
23- “Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never
knew you. Away from me you evildoers!’”
5. “I NEVER KNEW YOU” but in Matthew 10:30 He
says, “…and even the very hairs of your head are
all numbered.”
According to Scriptures, who are the people who
are KNOWN to God?
1 Corinthians 8:3 - “But the man who loves God
is KNOWN BY GOD.”
If you breathed a sigh of relief, because the
“… the man who LOVES God. . .” is “KNOWN
BY GOD” - do you claim that you have
PASSED?
6. AGAIN, shall we allow the Scriptures to
explain - “the man WHO LOVES GOD”
Are you INTERESTED to identify, the man WHO
TRULY LOVES GOD?
1 JOHN 4:20,21
20- “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ yet hates his
brother, he is a LIAR. For anyone who does not
love his brother, whom he has seen, CANNOT
LOVE GOD, whom HE HAS NOT SEEN.
21 - And he has given this command;
whoever loves God MUST ALSO LOVE HIS
BROTHER.”
7. PLEASE PONDER THESE NEXT FIVE
QUESTIONS, in your mind right now.
1. Do you often talk about someone who has hurt you?
2. Do you sometimes REPLAY the scenes which he/she
has hurt you?
3. Do you at times PLAN REVENGE for what he/she did
to you?
4. Are you UNCOMFORTABLE in his/her presence?
5. Are you finding this SITUATION AFFECTING your
other relation-ships, especially the one involving your
family members?
If you are reminded of one, or two, or more
persons, WHAT NOW?
8. Perhaps one incident in the Scriptures in which
Apostle Peter asked the Lord a question or two
should be considered at this point.
MATTHEW 18:21, 22
21- “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord,
how many times shall I forgive my brother WHEN
HE SINS AGAINST ME? Up to seven times?”
22 – “Jesus answered, ‘Not seven times. But
seventy times seven.’”
ON JESUS’ REPLY TO PETER PONDER BACK TO THE 5
QUESTIONS. THE BIBLE TEACHES US, THESE
PERSONS WE MUST FORGIVE.
9. Matthew 18:35 - “This is how my heavenly Father will
treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from
your heart.”
1 Corinthians 8:3 - “But the man who loves God is
KNOWN BY GOD.”
1 JOHN 4:21 - And he has given this command;
Whoever loves God MUST ALSO LOVE his brother.”
John 13:35 - “By this all men will know THAT YOU ARE
MY DISCIPLES; IF YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER.”
SHALL WE LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT WE ARE
JESUS’ DISCIPLES BECAUSE OF OUR LOVE AND
FORGIVENESS ONE FOR ANOTHER?
10. Matthew 18:35 - “This is how my heavenly Father will
treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from
your heart.”
1 Corinthians 8:3 - “But the man who loves God is
KNOWN BY GOD.”
1 JOHN 4:21 - And he has given this command;
