Our unknown looks a little bit like salt or sand under
the microscope. Its white and see through.
3. Questions We Asked
Does it release C02?
Is it stimulated by water?
Does it have cells?
4. Our Process
We tested the fallowing things things:
1. We tested whether or not our unknown
released Co2 by using bromothymol
blue.
2. We tried to stimulate the unknown by
putting it in fresh and salt water.
3. We looked for cells underneath the
microscope.
5. Our Data(Bromothymol Blue)
There was no difference in the color of the
bromothymol blue both of the days we
recorded data.
Verdict: it doesn’t release carbon di-
oxide.
6. Our Data(Salt Water)
There is no difference between the first and second
day. There is also no difference between the
constant and these two.
Verdict: It is not stimulated by salt water.
9. Final results(Conclusion)
Our unknown did not release CO2.
Our unknown did not respond to
stimuli(regular water, salt water).
Our unknown didn’t have any cells.
