User interfaces are omnipresent in daily consumer goods, whether it is in the usage of brown goods or the access to the menu of a DVD player, as well as in the Ambient Assistive Living services that are being established like for example in the OASIS project and which will be provided to older people. Considering the growing number of older people and the directly linked increasing number of disabilities that will appear accordingly, OASIS project has taken the step to consider accessible user interfaces (UI) from the very beginning using a variety of interaction technologies. In addition, it will also have its interfaces assessed by using the assessment tools provided by the ACCESSIBLE project that focuses on ensuring web, desktop and mobile interfaces are fully accessible from the very beginning, without any adjusting afterwards.

The aim of this paper is to help the blind people to identify and catch the public transport vehicles with the help of Light Fidelity technology. It is a Navigation aid. When the bus arrives at the bus stand, transmitter in the bus transmits the light signals and receiver in the stick, receives the light signals and a sound signal is generated through the speaker present in the stick. The sound message contains the bus number and the destination of the bus. In addition to this, if the person is absconded or lost, details of the location will be sent to his/her family members by pressing a button. This is made possible with the help of Global System for Mobile (GSM). Finally, presence of water can be detected along the blind person’s path, with the help of water sensors.

The major challenge of visually impaired person is in mobility, object identification and identificati on of space around him/her. The proposed RF Based Talking Signage for Blind Navigation aims to provide a universal electronic travel guide for the visually challenged people. This system incorporates a user friendly and versatile method called “Talking Signa ge” that is implemented using android devices. The system uses an Android application in the mobile ph one which could deliver voice messages about the us er environment via a heterogeneous network. It can be deployed in any dense environment so that blind persons can fulfill their needs. The primary advant age of the system compared to other system in the a rea is low cost, ease of transport, less power consumption , lightweight, and it could be utilized by those pe oples who are technically challenged. The architecture pr oposed in this paper clearly shows communication between a mobile phone and a heterogeneous network enabled with RF devices. We have implemented the system in our university environment and the propos ed system found to be a great success

Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) and Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) provide a distinguish approach for Intelligent Transport System (ITS). The existing applications in VANET provide secure message passing and circulation of data within the range, but there are very few applications where individual's security is taken into consideration. In new applications we can make one which provides safety for individuals on road or indirectly related to roads or vehicles. For making such an application we will be using Radio Frequency (RF) signals, VANET network, GPS and GSM techniques. RF signals will be generating input signals; vehicles for making an alarm for generated signals; VANET network to spread the information about panic area to the other vehicles in range; GPS & GSM to track the location & position of victim and send this information to authorized helping system respectively. Thus using all above techniques and principles we are designing a scheme which provides safety using VANET protocols

During recent years traffic congestion is become a serious problem in almost all cities. Due to the high density of traffic, pedestrians find it difficult to cross the road. Even though several advanced strategic plans are introduced to regulate the traffic but due to lack of provision for on- road pedestrian crossing, rate of accidents become very high. One such provision is given is elevated path for pedestrian to cross the road, but the elderly person finds it difficult to use that. Hence an idea is proposed to help the elderly people by giving provision for on- road pedestrian crossing in high density traffic areas like near schools, hospitals, markets, etc. which reduces the accidents rate also. To implement this, here an additional time delay is introduced in the traffic signal for pedestrian crossing in addition to vehicle crossing in all possible direction. Additionally, provision is given to track the vehicle which violates the traffic rules and to clear the traffic for emergency vehicles. All the above said three parameters can be simulated by using PROTEUS software.

Now a day’s many of the things get controlled automatically. Everything is getting controlled using the mechanical or the automated systems. In every field machines are doing the human works. But still some area is controlled manually. For example traffic controls, road control, parking controlling. Keeping these things in mind we are trying to develop the project to automate the traffic tracking for the square. To make any project more useful and acceptable by any organization we need to provide multiple features in a single project. Keeping these things in consideration proposed system is less with multiple methodologies which can be used in traffic control system It is important to know the road traffic density real time especially in mega cities for signal control and effective traffic management. In recent years, video monitoring and surveillance systems have been widely used in traffic management. Hence, traffic density estimation and vehicle classification can be achieved using video monitoring systems. In most vehicle detection methods in the literature, only the detection of vehicles in frames of the given video is emphasized. However, further analysis is needed in order to obtain the useful information for traffic management such as real time traffic density and number of vehicle types passing these roads.
