State Highway Patrol: Photo software for accident re-construction.

                      Military
Reconnaissance and Surveillance: Military surveillance operations
are often from and over hostile and rugged terrain. The ability to offer
better intelligence and higher quality real time data is the key to
success. This must be provided reliably twenty-four hours a day.
Optional FLIR sensors and other payloads offer detailed video with
embedded time and GPS position tagging via the autopilot.
Battlefield: Battlefield operations are rapidly changing. Hostile actions
often occur within urban areas. Operations are as often from and over
remote rugged terrain. The ability to offer EO/IR ‘eyes’ on a target with
an accurate GPS position is crucial for successful operations. Our UAVs
can be rapidly deployed and easily operated with minimal support.
Hazardous Materials Sensing: Our UAVs can be equipped with
hazardous materials sensing packages. We have demonstrated the
ability to pickup and drop custom sensing payloads, such as those to
detect radiation or ‘sniff’ for biologic agents, pathogens and other types
of airborne elements. Our UAVs can be used for military testing, battle
field training, base camp perimeter management and advanced re-con.

Real Estate: Our UAVs offer unprecedented features for documenting
property: excellent transportability, superior hovering capabilities,
electric propulsion for quiet operations, and payload weight.
Agriculture and Conservation: Fly pre-loaded and saved missions via
the fully automated ground station for time-lapse photos of fields.
Repeat flight profiles over all seasons for land and soil management.
Construction: Photos and videos from multiple angles with optional
photo rendering software are used to create 3D maps and topography.
Oil, Gas and Electrical Utilities: Our UAVs allow operators to video
and photo long pipelines and transmission lines in a fraction of the time.
Maritime and Shipping: Our maritime and shipping applications are in
the context of high seas defense and protection. Simple to use autopilot
and camera systems provide easy surveillance and threat assessment.
Movies and Videography: Our UAVs provide unique views with
expansive panning over many altitudes. The autopilot’s pre-designed
mission management with R/C control provides the ultimate shot.

Hand held remote controls and ground stations with joysticks
are available. One example is the JR’s XP9303, which is a 9-
channel, 30-model memory, 3-model type. It comes with the
convenience and security of Spektrum DSM2 2.4 GHz
technology. Panasonic Toughbooks® and ground stations with
Pelican waterproof ruggedized cases are also used.

        Flight Control Design Process

                               Wolverine III
                                                The Wolverine III is a quiet, fully
                                                electric UAV helicopter capable
                                                of flying manually or
                                                autonomously for 50 minutes on
                                                a battery charge. The batteries
                                                can be replaced in 30 seconds
                                                for rapid re-launch.


Wolverine III is a 18 lb aircraft with 15 lbs
of payload + batteries. It has the ability to
carry front mounted payloads, slung
payloads or mid-ship payloads. The
configuration is easily configured for a
variety of uses and is well suited to
gimbaled payloads.

Yak UAV Trainer
   Low Cost: Low acquisition cost with individual
   airframe components available (wings, fuselage,
   horizontal tails, et cetera) separately at low cost.
   The IMU, GPS, and flight computer are in a
   rugged custom machined aluminum housing.

   Easy Testing and Data Processing: We provide
   a serial port on the flight computer for you to send
   high level commands (airspeed, vertical velocity,
   turn rate, et cetera) for testing obstacle avoidance,
   terrain following, automatic landing, et cetera
   technologies. This system comes standard with its
   own full waypoint tracking ability including
   command, control, and data collecting ground
   station software.

                 Hawkeye – Prototype System
The Hawkeye is designed for a 50% longer range than current UAVs in its payload
class, to be very portable and cost-effective. It is a modular design. The aircraft has
four easily removable wing sections, changing its performance capabilities quickly
and easily. No special launching or recovery mechanism is required.

  • 3. 3 Viking Aerospace - Mission and Objectives •  Viking Aerospace develops and markets fixed- wing and rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and systems (UASs) achieving customer needs by combining modern design tools and system theory with advanced sensor technologies and state-of-the-art embedded computing. •  Viking Aerospace strives for a leading role as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provider of unmanned aerial vehicles and systems for the world-wide civil and defense UAV market. Furthermore, we aim to achieve strategic partnerships with synergetic impact for development and sale. Our UAVs excel in physically challenging environments, daytime or night. Fire and Rescue: Prevent simple fire scenes from expanding. Border Patrol: Operate twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week in harsh weather and over extreme temperature ranges. Security: Antiterrorism, crowd management, hostages, search & rescue. Emergency Response: Manage disasters with real time observations. Facilities Protection: Operate constantly in a surveillance and data gathering mode to review perimeters, identify potential threats, and respond quickly if an intrusion does occur. National Parks and Wildlife Management: Managing large remote and isolated areas. Research and Development: Several University R&D programs.
  • 6. 6 Military Reconnaissance and Surveillance: Military surveillance operations are often from and over hostile and rugged terrain. The ability to offer better intelligence and higher quality real time data is the key to success. This must be provided reliably twenty-four hours a day. Optional FLIR sensors and other payloads offer detailed video with embedded time and GPS position tagging via the autopilot. Battlefield: Battlefield operations are rapidly changing. Hostile actions often occur within urban areas. Operations are as often from and over remote rugged terrain. The ability to offer EO/IR ‘eyes’ on a target with an accurate GPS position is crucial for successful operations. Our UAVs can be rapidly deployed and easily operated with minimal support. Hazardous Materials Sensing: Our UAVs can be equipped with hazardous materials sensing packages. We have demonstrated the ability to pickup and drop custom sensing payloads, such as those to detect radiation or ‘sniff’ for biologic agents, pathogens and other types of airborne elements. Our UAVs can be used for military testing, battle field training, base camp perimeter management and advanced re-con.
  • 7. 7 Civilian Real Estate: Our UAVs offer unprecedented features for documenting property: excellent transportability, superior hovering capabilities, electric propulsion for quiet operations, and payload weight. Agriculture and Conservation: Fly pre-loaded and saved missions via the fully automated ground station for time-lapse photos of fields. Repeat flight profiles over all seasons for land and soil management. Construction: Photos and videos from multiple angles with optional photo rendering software are used to create 3D maps and topography. Oil, Gas and Electrical Utilities: Our UAVs allow operators to video and photo long pipelines and transmission lines in a fraction of the time. Maritime and Shipping: Our maritime and shipping applications are in the context of high seas defense and protection.
