The travail of the Creation as it awaits
the redemption of its sons.

The Creation figures, in my mind, as a sixth protagonist
in the Revelation narrative . . . bit of a stretch, perhaps,
but the way the Bible treats the situation of God’s
Creation, it’s hard to to get a little anthropomorphic
reading about what the Creation endures and receives in
the End-Times.
Bear with me one more time . . .

AN OVERVIEW OF THE
BIBLE’S TREATMENT OF
THE CREATION

1. A Bright Beginning

1. Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.
2. By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done,
and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
3. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He
rested from all His work which God had created and made.

In brief, the 70th Week opens with geological
and ecological disasters which, awful though
they seem, constitute only the initial
contractions of a long delivery process.

Birth pangs!
One ‘pain’ after another,
increasing in intensity and in
frequency as time goes on!
Expect to see this pattern as
we continue the study.

Note: No animals were harmed in the creation of this slide.

rejoices.
