except as He is revealed

in the broad waters of the ocean,
we see the handiwork of God.
All created things testify to His
power, His wisdom, His love.

But not from the7 s5tars or the ocean
or the cataract can we learn
of the personality of God
as it is revealed in Christ.
God saw that a clearer revelation than
nature was needed to portray
both His personality
and His character.

What if God the Father came to Earth?
But one thing is impossible with God
—the power of eclipsing the
greatness of His gift, in showing His
love for fallen man than He has given
in Jesus.

In this wonderful expression of His
love He has given to man fallen, and
to all the unfallen worlds, and to the
universe of heaven clear evidence
that there is no love but His love.

The Lord has paid this infinite price in
giving His only begotten Son
that through belief in Jesus Christ
is belief in God,
and that the righteous laws, the ten
precepts of His decalogue, may appear to
the world, even to as many as will believe
on Jesus Christ, as His just requirements
and are ever to be maintained.

Had God the Father come to our
world and dwelt among us,
veiling His glory and humbling Himself,
that humanity might look upon Him,
the history that we have of the life of
Christ would not have been changed
in unfolding its record
of His own condescending grace.

In every act of Jesus,
in every lesson of His instruction,
we are to see and hear
and recognize God.
In sight, in hearing, in effect,
it is the voice and movements

It seemed that divinity flashed through
humanity as Jesus said, "I and my Father
are one." The words of Christ were full
of deep meaning as he put forth the
claim that he and the Father were of
SAME, NOT
IDENTICAL
one substance,
possessing the same attributes.

The Majesty of heaven stood, calmly
assured, as a god before his adversaries.
Their scowling faces, their hands filled with
stones, did not intimidate him. He knew that
unseen forces, legions of angels, were round
about him, and at one word from his lips they
would strike with dismay the throng, should
they offer to cast upon him a single stone. He
stood before them undaunted.

Why did not the stones fly to the mark?--It
was because divinity flashed through
humanity, and they received a revelation, and
were convicted that his were no common
claims. Their hands relax and the stones fall
to the ground. His words had asserted his
divinity, but now his personal presence, the
light of his eye, the majesty of his attitude,
bore witness to the fact that he was the
beloved Son of God.

Acts 2:38,39
Being an obedient disciple of Christ
Jesus, Peter baptized his fellow Israelites
in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remissions of their sins, and the name of
the Holy Ghost who is the bearer of "the
gift", and the name of the Father (Lord
our God) who giveth "every good gift
and every perfect gift." - James 1:17.

Acts 10:13-20 17 Now while Peter
doubted in himself what
this vision which he had
seen should mean, behold,
the men which were sent
from Cornelius had made
enquiry for Simon's house,
and stood before the gate,
18 And called, and asked
whether Simon, which was
surnamed Peter, were
lodged there.

2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus provides the grace, especially by his
death upon the cross of Calvary.
God provides his love, which draws us to
him, and by which he sent his only begotten
Son to die for us (John 3:16).
And the Holy Ghost provides communion,
offering us the comfort and presence of Jesus
Christ and the Father in our lives, just as
Jesus promised in John 17.

ISAIAH 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto
us a son is given: and the
government shall be upon his
shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace.

ISAIAH 9:6—The Everlasting
Father In seeking an explanation of this text,
we must bear in mind the work of
Christ as brought to view in this and
parallel passages. These words refer
to the "child born," the "son given,"
who, as we have seen, bears the title
of God subordinate to his Father.

Father And if an apostle could call himself
the father of those whom he had
begotten in the gospel (1 Cor. 4:15; 1
Tim. 1:2; Titus 1:4), how
appropriately is this title applied to
the Prince of Peace, who is, in a
peculiar sense, the everlasting Father
of all to whom he gives everlasting
life.

Father The New Jerusalem is called the Bride,
the Lamb's wife (Rev. 21); Christ of
course is the Bridegroom, the husband.
But Paul says Jerusalem above is our
mother. Gal. 4:26. If so, why not her
husband, the bridegroom, be our
father? Surely there is nothing
inappropriate in this.

Father
But, as the New Jerusalem is not
the mother of the unregenerate,
these being reckoned the children
of the bondwoman, so Christ is not
called their father. They are not his
children, and he does not give them
everlasting life.

Father
Therefore the title is applied to him
in a subordinate and restricted
sense. In its unrestricted and
universal sense it applies only to
the Supreme One, "the God and
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2
Cor. 11:31; Eph. 1:3; 1 Peter 1:3.
