The document discusses how Christians have historically been at the forefront of social reform efforts like establishing schools, hospitals, and campaigns against slavery. It emphasizes that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope and solid foundation for lasting change in society. While other approaches may seem good, only Christ has the power to truly transform lives. The document encourages Christians to pray for guidance and strength from God before seeking to meet needs in their communities and in their work, and to remember that all things are ultimately done through and for Jesus Christ.

What film?
Rodney Copperbottom
The fruit of His Spirit, growing across our society, would totally transform our world
Our work must start and finish with God’s gospel, ever-alert to His Spirit
Not just spoken but lived & demonstrated in our lives; “apart from Him, we can do no good thing” – so easily overwhelmed on our own but God gives us His Spirit and His Church (fellowship with Christ and His people – we are never alone!)
I used to think this meant I must always be remembering specific things before God in prayer BUT actually look again! It’s all our lives that matter to God and He can use for the glory of His Name. True spiritual warfare is recognising the battles we fight in our lives against evil need God’s help & intervention to give us the victory.
Don’t be afraid of “big” prayers – God never asks us to limit what we long to see accomplished in His Name. By how we live and work, let us make clear to onlookers that Christ matters
