5. First Part You should be here, Nature has need of you. She has been laid waste, Smothered by the smog, the flowers are mute, and the birds are few in a sky slowing like a dying clock.

Views First line puts emphasis on natures desperation of help and cure and is referring to the person “Wordsworth” Second line is characterization because its talking about nature like its someone. (clue: “She”) The last line which is an enjambment emphasizes visually on what's happening and also has an effect on imagery which is conveying that time is running out and nature is disappearing.
7. Second Part. All hopes of Proteus rising from the sea have sunk; he is entombed in the waste we dump. Tritons notes struggle to be free, his famous horns are choked, his eyes are dazed, and Neptune lies helpless as a Bleached whale, while insatiate man moves in for the kill.
8. Views Line one is referring to Proteus the shape changing sea God is very mighty and powerful but due to man kinds actions, it is beyond Proteus ability to save man kind. Line two also refers to another sea Gods incapability to save man kind due to their pitiful and reckless actions. Line three refers to another sea God, again it is talking about the limited power that God is offering, “Neptune lies helpless as a beached whale” the poet is trying to tell the reader that what's done is done and no one can help. “ while insatiate man moves in for the kill.” In this quote explains mankind’s negative crave for more and not realizing that they are moving closer to their doom.
9. Third and Last Part. Poetry and piety have begun to fail, As Nature’s mighty heart is lying still. O see the widening in the sky,God is laboring to utter his last cry.
10. Views. “Poetry and Piety have begun to fail” meaning that all good of this world trying convince for this to stop is failing due to mankind's stubbornness. Poetry as in the peaceful side of the world and piety representing the religious. “As nature’s mighty heart is lying still” Meaning that nature itself as in mankind’s mother of life is ready to die from all or mankind’s negative contributions to nature’s dispute. “O see the wound widening in the sky, God is laboring his last crying” Meaning either the destruction of the ozone layer or giving earth personification as in the skin is ripping, or simply that it is God’s mouth is opening for its last cry as he is suffering and slowly dying.
