Skolkovo is a Russian foundation and innovation center near Moscow that aims to diversify Russia's economy through technology commercialization and innovation. It provides infrastructure, funding, education programs and other support to over 900 startups in fields like energy, biotech, software and healthcare. The center is governed by leaders from Cisco, Google, Intel and other global companies and research institutions and has received funding from both the Russian government and private investors totaling over $1 billion.
