Jesus tells a parable about a landowner who sends servants to collect the harvest from his vineyard that was cared for by farmhands. The farmhands mistreat and kill some of the servants sent to collect the harvest. When the landowner sends his son, the farmhands kill the son thinking they will inherit the vineyard. Jesus uses this parable to represent himself and the religious leaders who will kill him, though he is the son sent by God.
