  2. A key consideration for all of our customers over the next couple of years will be how they better realise the value they have tied up in Microsoft software.  As the ‘form factor’ of Dynamics evolves we will see Dynamics become a solution comprising many applications; Dynamics will further exploit: Office, including Excel for reporting, BI and forecasting, and Word for formsSharePoint, for document management, workflow, enterprise business intelligence, forms (InfoPath Services), enterprise search, and of course the UIThe Cloud for online services and for Cloud based computing. Applications like payroll, e-commerce and supply chain EDI require direct interaction with external entities such as banks, customers, suppliers, shippers and regulators. Frequent changes driven by all these relationships means constant updating and tuning of connections.  These characteristics make external-facing tasks perfect candidates for cloud services, which eliminate the maintenance obstacle while delivering targeted functionality – this will likely see our customers subscribing to services in the Cloud as opposed to having to re-invent every timeSocial networking - This involves adapting Dynamics applications to seamlessly take in information from places like Facebook and Twitter to mimic data from those sources so you can find out about people you are doing business withContext aware computing and [true] unified communications. The next evolution of the role-tailored interface will become ‘context-aware’ – understanding the needs of a user based on say what time of the month it is (e.g.: customer billing cycles and annual promotions)

  11. Key Points:The cloud can help save money, increase productivity and reduce management complexitiesThis can create new business opportunitiesScript:This ability to move things to the cloud, use the cloud for extra compute or storage or expose or share your services with others leads to some benefits:First, it offers a new set of economic opportunities. Gain better control over your money (New economics)from saving money by not having to run and maintain large datacenters yourselfin some cases moving to IT as a subscription so that you only pay for what you use, when you use itby giving you the opportunity to shift from capital expenses to operational expensesReduced management:No patching and maintenanceFaster deploymentRobust multi-layered securityReliability and fault-toleranceRedefining Productivity: by increasing access to information and applicationsby increasing collaboration because many of the tools they use are now connected togetherby helping your IT staff focus more on business and less on plumbing and hardware (no patching and maintenance, faster deployment, etc) quickly adapt to changing business needs New EconomicsReduced ManagementRedefining Productivity

  14. Quickly deployed in just two months, Microsoft Dynamics CRM as a hosed service integrated dispersed customer data into one central location—a Japan firstWebsite: http://www.miike.co.jp/Solution: CRM solution as a hosted serviceProduct: Microsoft Dynamics CRMCorporate ProfileMiike Iron Works co. ltd. (founded in 1953) produces RPF (Refuse Paper and Plastic Fuel) and manufactures wood and plastic waste recycling plants. It offers waste recycling plants compatible with all the processes of crushing, grinding, sorting, drying, and granulating; provides turnkey services from design, production to construction and maintenance; aims to effectively exploit untapped resources; and contributes to building a recycling society.ChallengesAt Miike, customer information is dispersed across several existing systems and paper documents, and the company faced the issue that information sharing among the main office, branch offices, and sales office was too time-consuming. It had also become urgent to achieve accurate sales projections based on order entry data. To address these issues, e-System proposed a three-step solution based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM as a hosted service. What is Microsoft Dynamics CRM?Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a comprehensive customer-relationship management solution that helps companies gain the complete picture of customers from first contact to business negotiations and after-sales service. It improves business processes and helps find effective approaches to customers. The same familiar user interface of Microsoft Office products helps users unfamiliar with PCs operate intuitively and facilitates early adoption in the workplace. Why Hosted Microsoft Dynamics CRM was ChosenThe hosted service met Miike’s requirements to reduce initial investment and start with evaluation of the system on a trial basis with a small number of IDs (there had been cases where all key requirements were released in one long-term project packet presupposing numerous users from the start, but these had failed to achieve an effective CRM introduction). This kind of planning can lead to success, or even great success, but the cases of failure revealed a great gap between the users’ assumptions and reality once operations began, leading to a steady decline in use. The hosted service makes the best use of the monthly fee system, and enables the system to be introduced in a short time frame without imposing initial costs. A standard package can be installed within a month. Customers can quickly interact with the system to evaluate the functions that are useful and those that need to be added on. This confers the great benefit that accurate specifications that reflect the consumer feedback can be incorporated into the extension requirements for the next step before undertaking full-scale operation. e-System is a leading provider of Microsoft Dynamics CRM as a “hosted service”. With its entire technical prowess, e-System successfully completed speedy installation in the short time frame of around two months.Microsoft Dynamics CRM’s ScalabilityThis time Miike chose the hosted service, but it also takes into consideration the possibility of migrating to an on-premise model in the future, where its own system would be installed in-house. With Microsoft Dynamics CRM, it is possible to migrate the hosteNd system to the on-premise system depending on the situation.Comments from MiikeTwo Packages (Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Salesforce.com) emerged as candidates in the review process for customer management system deployment. Both packages met conditions and were considered as possibilities, but since Miike plans to retain its own system in the future it went with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, which can easily migrate from a hosted service deployment to an on-premise deployment. The three-step system integration process proposed by e-System also suited the company’s interest in performing a step-by-step evaluation of the system, initially with a small number of users and minimum cost. The result was that the system could be introduced in the short time frame of around two months, which Miike considers to have minimized installation costs and enabled early system evaluation. In the future, Miike plans to gather user feedback to shape the enhancements for phase two onward. TSUNAGU: A small/mid sized company with 53 employees that delivers recruitment consulting services specialized in temporary and part-time workers Overview of the solutionMainly used as Call center system with related business operation administrative functionalitiesUse Microsoft Dynamics CRM as a cloud service – currently available as partner hosted service.Rapid implementation – three month to go livePreviously the system used at the call center to receive applications (Salesforce.com) and the system for business operations (Microsoft Access) were separate. This imposed the burden of unnecessary duplication forcing the employees to re-input and compare data from different systems. Integrated 2 partly duplicated system.Reason to choose DynamicsWith no information system department and time constraints (3 month by go-live), they needed CRM as a hosting service not only used as Call center system but also flexibly customizable to use as business operation system. Only MS Dynamics could meet their requirementComprehensive functions and service from data center to consulting. User friendly look and feel for anybody(they say it’s very similar to MS Office)They can do small change by themselves without asking vendors, which is very fast and cost-effectiveBusiness Impact”It feels like depositing money in a bank.
