The European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) is a leading network for in-house communication professionals across Europe. It was founded in 2006 and has over 80 members and 39 regional groups. The EACD operates through regional coordinators who organize local events. It also has 13 working groups focused on industries and topics. Major EACD events include the annual European Communication Summit and Forum which bring together over 600 communication professionals. The EACD publishes a newsletter, surveys such as the European Communication Monitor, and the Communication Director Magazine. It also maintains an online networking platform called EACDnet.
