The City Council meeting discussed proceeding with the expansion and redesign of the Ringer Library based on recommendations from an operational audit. The project would add 15,000 square feet and parking, following design principles of reducing long-term costs and noise while getting staff input. An RFQ would be advertised in July 2014 with the goal of completing construction by October 2016 for a budget of $8.3 million, most of which remained unspent.
