2. Disaster upon disaster2010 comes to a close

3. We can glory in our humanity And pause to remember those Who suffered and are suffering still In the aftermath of fate

4. We have rallied as a planet And shown we are awesomely so great Some things have seemed invincible But we’ve never once lacked courage

5. Our hearts have hurt Our blood has spilled But we’ve been there to encourage

6. We’ve held out our hands And hung on tight To those who bear the pain

7. We’ve steadfastly shown solid strength In a world that’s gone insane

8. Drawn together to help those in need We’ve never once lost hope

9. As such we’ve learned the lesson Humanity is not devoid of scope

10. May we work together through next year And tighten all those bonds So we manage all the challenges And rise above them and beyond.
