What is a Pin?
• A pin is an image added to Pinterest. A pin can be added from a
website using the “Pin It” button, or you can upload images from
your computer. Each pin added using the Pin It button links back
to the site it came from.

• A pin board is a collection of pins. Think of it having different

• 2nd option: pin from other sites on the web. The easiest
method of doing this is to add Pinterest’s “Pin It”
bookmarklet to your bookmarks bar.

• Once your bookmarklet is installed, simply click on the icon
located in your bookmarks toolbar to pin an image you find
on the web.

#1 Driving Sales And Web Traffic
• Make sure you have a URL with each pin.
• You can also tag other profiles by using @username.
• Make your pin more searchable by including #keyword in
the description box. Any description that is added will then
appear below the pin itself.
• If you add a price (ex. $150.00) to
your pin, Pinterest will automatically
add a price tag banner to the pin
and list it in the “Gifts” section of
the site.
