Narayana Murthy is an Indian industrialist and software engineer who founded Infosys in 1981. He obtained his B.E. degree from University of Mysore in 1967 and his M.Tech. degree from IIT Kanpur in 1969. He retired from Infosys in 2006 but remains as non-executive chairman. Infosys opened its first international office in the U.S. in 1987 and now has over 50,000 employees and a turnover of over $1.6 billion. Murthy is also involved in other organizations such as IIM Ahmadabad, Singapore Management University, and Asian Institute of Management.

4. About N. R. Murthy
 Nagavar Ramarao Narayana Murthy born on 20
August 1946. He is an Indian industrialist and
software engineer & He is the founder and Chairman
Emeritus of Infosys.
 He obtained his B.E. degree from University of
Mysore in1967 and his M.Tech. degree from IIT
Kanpur in 1969.

as chief system programmer.
 After IIM Ahmadabad then he joined Patni
Computer System in Pune.
 In 1981, with an investment of Rs. 10,000
he founded Infosys.
