Now coming onto the album, Ne-Yo‟s „Year of the Gentlemen‟ became one his most successful album‟s to date, as it reached number 2 in the US and
UK and went to become one of the most anticipated album‟s of 2008. The hit singles included „Closer‟ (which went number one in the UK), „Miss
Independent‟ and „Mad‟. Making all three songs go Platinum (selling over one million copies) in the U.S.
