2. During my market research I carried out a survey to establish who my
audience would be.
The results showed that 80% of my respondents
were female. This influenced my magazine as I
therefore included content that was slightly biased
to a female audience. To do this I included many
pictures of female artists that my audience could
relate to. I also made sure the genre of music that
my magazine included catered for both the male
and female audiences, including articles about pop,
r’n’b and dance artists that are prominently female,
as well as the indie and rock artists which I was
originally going to base my magazine on as the rock
genre is mostly dominated by males.
3. During my market research I carried out a survey to establish who my
audience would be.
This question showed how my respondents were
aged between 16 and 20. Therefore the audience for
my media product will be young people, aged 16-25.
Because of this young audience, the content of my
magazine has included young artists of a similar age
group, so my audience in interested in the people
they are reading about.
4. During my market research I carried out a survey to establish who my
audience would be.
As the results from my survey showed that most
people listen to music through an mp3 or iPod
device I know my audience will be interested in
technology. Because of this, the content of my
magazine will make reference to technologies such
as YouTube and iTunes. Also, because of
technological convergence, I will make my
magazine available for my audience on electronic
devices.
5. During my market research I carried out a survey to establish who my
audience would be.
Because my audience will be of the student age
group I have made changes such as the price of the
magazine so it is affordable for everyone, no more
than £3. Also, I decided my magazine will occur
monthly rather than weekly like Kerrang magazine,
therefore my audience feel as though they are
getting more for their money as a monthly
magazine includes more articles and information.
