There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of thy standing forth (for prayer) therein. 20. Let us consider the word “ volunteerism ”. My understanding of this term derived from “ volunteer “ – the Latin root “ volu ” meaning “ I want to ” or “ am willing ” Thus “ volunteerism ” refers to : “ works that are undertaken by some one without expecting reward, salary nor remunerations (as the primary concern), but out of some altruistic concern or other personal considerations ”. reference Webster.
