7: 156-158

"THE BEST AMONGST YOU IS ONE
WHO LEARNS THE QUR'AN AND
WHO TEACHES IT"-

(HADITH REPORTED BY BUKHARY)


IN THE NAME OF ALLAH,
MOST COMPASSIONATE,
MOST MERCIFUL.


[Allah] said, "My punishment - I afflict with it
whom I will, but My mercy (RAHMAH)
encompasses all things." So I will decree it
[especially] for those who are (conscious and) fear
Me – ( TAQWA ) - and give the alms –( ZAKAH ) -
and those who believe (YU’-MINUUN) in Our
verses (AAYAT) –”
(Qur’an: A’raf: 7: 156)


Conscious of Allah leading to
fear of transgression towards Him


Giving the alms


Believing in the Signs
( AAYAT ) of Allah


“Those who follow the Messenger (YAT-TABI’UN) ,
the unlettered prophet (Muhammad), whom they
find written in what they have of the Torah and
the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right
(YA’-MURUHUM BIL-MA’-RUF) and forbids them
what is wrong (YA-HAAHUM ‘ANIL-MUNKAR) …”
(Qur’an: A’raf: 7: 157)


Following the ways of
the Messenger of Allah


Enjoining towards doing good


Forbidding evil and wrongdoing


“ … and makes lawful for them the good things
(TOYYIBAT) and prohibits for them the evil
(KHABAA-ITH) and relieves them of their burden
(ISwRAA) and the shackles (AGHLAAL) which were
upon them. …”
(Qur’an: A’raf: 7: 157)


Permissible in all that is
good and wholesome


Forbidden in all that is
unclean and vile


“Allah wills that you shall have ease, and does
not will you to suffer hardship;”
(Qur’an: Baqarah: 2: 185)


“ … So they who have believed in him (AAMANUHU),
honoured him (‘AZ-ZARUUHU), supported him (NA-
SwO-RUUHU) and followed the light which was sent
down with him (TABI-UU-NUUR) - it is those who will
be the successful (MUF-LIHUUN). ”
(Qur’an: A’raf: 7: 157)


ADAB AND DUTY TOWARDS

Believing in him Honouring him


ADAB AND DUTY TOWARDS

Assit and aid him and his cause

Following the Light which
has been sent with him


“ Say, [O Muhammad], "O mankind, indeed I am the
Messenger of Allah to you all, [from Him] to whom
belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. ”
(Qur’an: A’raf: 7: 158)


“ There is no deity except Him; He gives life (YUH-YII)
and causes death (WA YU-MIIT)."
So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered
prophet (Muhammad), who believes in Allah and His
words, and follow him (TABI’-’UUHU) that you may
be guided (TAH-TADUUN). ”
(Qur’an: A’raf: 7: 158)


“He it is who has sent forth His Messenger with the [task
of spreading] guidance and the religion of truth, to the end
that He make it prevail over every [false] religion; and
none can bear witness [to the truth] as Allah does.”
(Qur’an: Fath: 48: 28)


“And thus have We willed you to be a community of the
middle way (UMMATAN WASOTAN) [i.e. justly balanced], so
that [with your lives] you might bear witness to the truth
before all mankind (SHUHADAA-A - ‘ALAN-NAAS) , and the
Messenger as a witness over you.“
(Qur’an: al- Baqarah: 2:143)


“And strive (WA-JAA-HADU) in His cause as ye ought
to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has
chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in
religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He
Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this
(Revelation); that the Messenger (SHAHEEDAN) may
be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for
mankind! (SHUHADAA-A- ‘ALAN-NAAS).“
(Qur’an: al- Hajj: 22:78)


“ Those whom Allah (in His plan) wills to guide,
He opens their breast to ISLAM; those whom He
wills to leave straying, He makes their breast
close and constricted, as if they had to climb up
to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty
on those who refuse to believe. "
(Qur’an: An-’am: 6: 125)


“Is one whose heart Allah has opened to ISLAM, so
that he has received Enlightenment (NUR-Light)
from Allah, (no better than one hard-hearted)? Woe
to those whose hearts are hardened against
celebrating the praises of Allah (DZIKRILLAH)! they
are manifestly wandering (in error)!”
(Qur’an: Zumar: 39: 22)


“People are like minerals, the best of them in
Jahiliyah (during times of ignorance)
will still be the best amongst them in Islam,
so long as they have proper (profound) understanding.”
(Hadith reported by Bukhary, Muslim, Darimi and Ahmad)


“And those who (JAAHADU) strive in Our (cause),- We
will certainly guide them to our Paths (SUBUULANA) :
For verily Allah is with those who do right.”
(Qur’an: Ahnkabut: 29: 69)


“The best one amongst you is the person who
makes you remember Allah when you look
upon him; and whenever he speaks it increases
you your knowledge ( ‘ILM of the Deen), and
with his deeds (‘AMAL) it inspires (motivates)
you to strive for your Hereafter.”

(Hadith reported by Hakim from Ibnu ‘Umar r.a .)


“And when Allah guides a single person (to Islam),
through you (with your sincere effort), (the reward) for
you is better than (if you are given) the whole world
and whatever it contains.”
(Hadith of the Prophet )


“Among the believers are men who have [always] been true
to what they have vowed before Allah: Of them some have
fulfilled their obligations (with their lives), and some of them
are still waiting (for its fulfillment) without having changed
[their resolve] in the least.”
(Qur’an: al-Ahzab: 33: 23)


"Our Lord! Make of us Muslims bowing to Thy (Will) and of our
progeny a people Muslim bowing to Thy (Will) and show us our
places for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy);
for Thou art the Oft-Returning Most-Merciful.”
(Qur’an: Baqarah: 2: 128)


"Our Lord! pour out constancy on us and make our steps firm;
Help us against those that reject faith."
(Qur’an: Baqarah: 2:250)


“Our Lord ! Let not our hearts swerve from the truth after
You have guided us; and bestow upon us the gift of Thy
Grace (Mercy): verily, You are the (true) giver of Gifts
(bestowals).”
(Qur’an : Aali ‘Imran : 3 : 8)


“(May) Allah grant His Reward upon Muhammad,
salutations of Allah and Peace be upon him and his family,
in accordance with what he deserves
(in Allah’s knowledge & estimation).”


And salutations of Allah and Peace be upon our Leader
Muhammad, and upon His household and Companions .
And all the Praises is for Allah,
Lord Sustainer of all the worlds.
