2. Facebook is different
YouTube provides a single Share button to
broadcast you on Facebook, Twitter, Google +, as
well as embed videos to websites and blog.
Facebook allows you to do the same thing, but
more difficult.
There are differences between sharing Facebook
videos and embedding Facebook videos. This
article will show you share and embed Facebook
videos.
3. Embedding Facebook Videos to Website or
Post
While you are watching your own Facebook, you will notice the 'Embed this video' button
under the video player. Click this button to get your Facebook video embed code. It's
something like below:
<object width="320" height="240" ><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param
name="movie" value="http://www.facebook.com/v/1107074953447" /><embed
src="http://www.facebook.com/v/1107074953447" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="240"></embed></object>
You will find out that it's similar to YouTube video embed code. Yes, you are right, both
Facebook video and YouTube could be played by Adobe Flash Player plugin for all
mainstream web browsers. And this is almost the only way to play Facebook videos. Just
paste this HTML embed code to a post, and Facebook video will show up when the post
have been published.
4. Just change the code you copied from the address
bar of your browser:
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1024623348375
to
http://www.facebook.com/v/1024623348375
and then, replace the red code with this Facebook video URL in the above
embed code.
Inspired by the new embed code of YouTube video - using iframe tag to
embed Facebook video, today, I will show you how to embed Facebook video
to a post in a new way.
The iframe code for YouTube looks like this:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube-
nocookie.com/embed/Kn_AIiV6Cp0?rel=0" frameborder="0"
allowfullscreen></iframe>
So your Facebook iframe embed code will be something like this:
<iframe width="560" height="315"
src="http://www.facebook.com/v/1107074953447" frameborder="0"
allowfullscreen></iframe>
You may need to adjust the width and height parameter to get a perfect size of
Facebook video player.
5. Sharing Videos with Friends on Facebook
The feature of Facebook video sharing gives you a
instant way to upload and share a video on your own
wall, on your friend's wall, in a group, on your page and
in a private message. Simply click the Share button
under the Facebook video to get started. In the pop up
windows, select the place you want your Facebook
video to display, write something, and click 'Share
video' button.
6. Note:
Seek permission from the Facebook
video owner to share or embed
Facebook videos, which may be
copyrighted, private, and may NOT
be permitted for embedding on your
post.
