Mr. Giacomo Visit To Dir Region.

Mr. Giacomo during his visit to Dir Upper had a meeting with
government line agencies. The meeting was chaired by the
deputy commissioner Dir Upper Mr. Imran Hamid Sheikh. More
than 40 participants attended the meeting and had discussion
on the upcoming project CDLD. The DC Dir Upper threw light
on different coordination meetings regarding CDLD. The head
of line departments discussed modalities of interventions
under the CDLD.

2. In Village Shandal

Mr. Giacomo had
meeting with the
members of the
village organization
and discussed issues
of their village,
productive linkages
and steps taken to
overcome the issues.
He was also told
about the future
plans of the VO.

3. In Dir Lower, Mr. Giacomo had meeting with the district heads of the line departments
like, planning & finance, C&W, PHE, health and education. The meeting was focused on
the CDLD project and the participants especially district officer planning and finance and
executive engineer C&W who had queries regarding the operationalization of the project.
The executive engineer C&W asked about the estimation of developmental schemes
whether it would be CSR rates or actual market rates. Mr. Giacomo guided them that
there would be a cell in Peshawar and that is responsible to answer your queries.

4. The guest then visited to Tatar village where he had meeting
with the members of the community. He asked the villagers
about their problems and channels that had been followed to
get the problems solved. He also asked the communities what
are possible and workable solutions to their problems.
