2. Throughout the progression of making my music magazine I have gained
a sufficient understanding of how to use Photoshop effectively; doing
things such as:
• Altering the colour or lighting of an image
• Erasing the background to an image
• Outlining text or adding drop shadows
• Airbrushing images
• Removing red eyes from the model
3. I have learnt how to use Cam Studios and Adobe Premiere Pro to make and alter
movies; for example doing things like:
• Recording the computer screen – selecting a part of the screen that I wish to record
• Altering the speed of a video
• Cutting parts of video and or music
• Putting music to match a video
• Altering the volume of music and adding fades in or out
• Adding text or captions to parts of the video
4. I have learnt how to use Blogger.com:
• I understand how to use appropriate language and formatting
• I can embed things from various websites such as Prezi.com and Slideshare.com
• I can attach files and pictures
I have learnt how to use Examtime:
• I can create mind maps of different colours, fonts and sizes
• I can create revision cards with lots of information
• I can insert/attach images and alter them to fit the style of revision I want

by:
• Making a cloud in the shape that I want
• Changing the colour of the background and the text
• Choosing the amount of times a specific word shows up
• Writing my own words and changing their fonts
• Changing the texts font size
• Animating the text so that it moves/rotates
I have learnt how to use Prezi to make presentations. I have learnt how to:
• Create my own style of presentation
• Attach files, images and videos
• How to add/change themes
• How to create shapes
6. I have learnt how music magazines in general are structured and arranged and the kinds of
elements that are commonly used, for example:
• Large mastheads
• Many different types of fonts and text sizes
• Many images throughout that have meaning/relate to the captions or stories
• Catchy and intriguing headlines
• Clear but concise stand-firsts
• Drop down capital letters
• Quite a wide range of complimentary for the colour scheme
7. I have learnt that many magazines base their front cover text around a hierarchy of size, using
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs; they use this theory in order to produce the right kind of
information to their target audience.
I have learnt that on contents pages, the page numbers rarely go do down in chronological
order.
I have learnt that in order to get one really good image, you have to take about 20 because each
image is different.
