Everyone brings an element for making pizzas and we have a dinner party.WUSC BBQ (Sept 24): A BBQ to raise funds for the settling cost of the SRP sponsored student. <br />October: Environmental Sustainability<br />Regional WUSC Conference (Oct. 1-3): Held in Saskatoon this year, our regional conference is a great way to network between WUSC executives from Western Canada. <br />WUSC Movie Night (Oct. 20): To create a discussion about global sustainability issues, WUSC will host a movie night during Sustainability Awareness Week (SAW). <br />November: Child Health/Maternal Health<br />SRP Open House (November): WUSC holds an open house for profs/administrators to learn more about our Student Refugee Program. <br />Act Like A Child (Nov. 20): WUSC will gather on Univeral Children’s Day to make Christmas crafts and watch a documentary on Children’s Rights. <br />Bun In The Oven (Nov. 25): To celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, WUSC will host a concert and silent auction to fundraise for Uniterra’s: Her Challenge, Your Challenge, a project supporting women’s empowerment in Ghana and Bolivia.<br />January: Gender Equality<br />Her Challenge (January): WUSC is hosting a lecture about what role you play in creating gender equality and what gender equality looks like around the world.<br />February: Universal Education<br />International Week (February): WUSC will facilitate a discussion about Universal Education. <br />SRP Gala (Feb. 25): A fundraiser to raise money for settling costs for the SRP program. <br />March: Combat HIV/AIDS<br />Donate Blood (March): The WUSC local committee will donate blood as a group. <br />Wax for Aids (March 25): To raise money for bike ambulances in Malawi, WUSC invites students to collect pledges and have their bodies waxed in support of the cause.<br />
