  1. The Labs are at the heart of a new £19M HEFCE funded building project, called Jennie Lee Building. The building uses the latest technologies in its design. It will be home to the Institute of Educational Technology and the Computing department.
  2. The attitude of Web2.0 – the permanent beta culture – seems now to also be needed in the research arena. Reflecting on how we have operated in recent research projects such as OpenLearn suggests that we could match the now classic patterns of Web2.0 to a Research 2.0 that we need to support in and beyond the lab. This is very challenging and we are open to suggestions.
  3. We explore a range of interaction that is broader than keyboard and mouse. There is an increasingly diverse number of tools and methods for interaction and this makes the capturing and research of these areas very challenging.
