1. LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP SERIES
REAL MEN, RISE UP!
“Males are plentiful, but men are few”
summary | Let’s stop for a moment and do a quick exercise. For the person reading this
outline, if you are a female great but if you are a male even better. Think for a moment on how
the media portrays men. Movies, music videos, commercials, magazines, TV shows and the like.
Consider the values, personality traits and demeanor that the average man is portrayed as
having. Do these reflect true masculinity? Do these show what it is to be a “real man”?
True manhood is misrepresented and at best partly understood. To be a real man means to
accept various levels of responsibility in your personal and professional life. A real man should
consider questions such as “Am I a provider?”, “Do I treat women with respect?”, “Do I have a
vision for my life/family?”, “What are my personal priorities?”, “Am I managing my finances?”.
This workshop provides an overview of the basic principles of true manhood.
key objectives | Some of the main objectives covered during this workshop include:
+ The responsibility of fatherhood
+ The responsibility of financial management
+ The responsibility of honoring a woman (respect, love, preference)
+ The responsibility of vision, goal setting and ambition
