Data Processing Module: data extraction, transformation and loading Imports all the data, extracts the information, converts to a supported format and loads it into the Data Integration Module Data Integration Module: data storage Data Warehouse: Where all collected data will be stored and made accessible. Multi-Dimensional Database: also known as OLAP structure or Data M art. Contains the same data as the Data Warehouse, but re-organized in a multi-dimensional fashion with pre-aggregated data already computed. Online Data Storage: optimized to provide real-time, online services, contains data of a sliding time window of 84h hrs (including past, nowcast and forecasted data) Metadata Module: All components share the same concepts and configuration changes can be performed on a single place.
INTEGRAL is the reference mission. It provides T/M, SEU and AUX data XMM provides T/M data and AUX data. ENVISAT provides AUX data and its SEU database. The system was built generically, so that other missions are easily supported SEIS is open to allow other users to connect and use the huge database, e.g. scientists or S/C manufacturers (operational prototype goals guarantee only a limited number of simultaneous connections though).
