In 2002 ,water availability declined to 1200 m3
5. More than 3/4rth of earth is covered, but still we are
heading towards the Water crisis.

By 2025 Estimated 60 per cent of ground water
blocks will be in a critical condition
India Largest user of Ground Water. With
estimated use of 230 cubic Km of water
every year.
Ground Water Block Out of 5723 , 1615 has been notified as
semicritical and critical
Impacting bussiness 83% respondent in survey conducted by
US based Columbia Water centre said
water scarcity impacts business growth.
Sewage Water treatment Only 10-15% sewage water is treated. If
this can be improved, country water crisis
can be solved upto an extent.

Rain Water Harvesting : Though it unpredictable. But even if 60-
70% of rain water is harvested successfully , help to solve
the problem.
Rooftop rainwater harvesting systems are now mandatory for new
buildings in 18 of India’s 28 states and 4 of its 7 federally-
administered union territories.

Sewage Water Treatment
: Only 60% of Industrial waste and 30% of Domestic waste water is
treated
Checks in the cities : For the closure of open
taps in parks, public places, toiltes etc
Awareness in Public. And making them
educated
Proper System for transportation of Water. As lot of water got
wasted
