- So, what is the Great Streets Initiative?The Great Streets Initiative is a multi-agency effort to transform 9 under-invested corridors into thriving and inviting neighborhood centers. We do this by working with DDOT to transform the physical streetscape of corridors, and leveraging Tax Increment Financing, grants, and low-interest loans to spur private investment in mixed-use developments and retail options.
- These are the District’s Great Streets. If you have an interest in doing projects along any of these corridors, please contact me. But, today, in particular, we’re going to talk about H Street.
- Why is H Street a good place to open your business?Utilizing stats from our very own DC Economic Partnership, you can see some of the highlights.
- Now, show me the money. Look for a solicitation to come from my office in the coming months and note that these funds are not only for new businesses but existing businesses on H Street are also eligible.
