6. Maybe it’s that our heroes, American veterans make up one of the largest populations of homeless people.

7. Or is it that 1 out of every 7 Americans live in poverty?

8. Or that the 5 main causes of homelessness in America are…

9. 1. Mental Illness People are unable to care for themselves or hold a position in society.

10. 2. Substance Abuse People become homeless after spending all of their income on their bad habits.

11. 3. Extended Unemployment Primarily in service-based jobs

12. 4. Culture of Poverty

13. 5. Natural Disasters and Accidents

14. Or that 3,500,000 people, or 1% of the American population, do not have a home.
