A WARM WELCOME
AT SCHOOL
RECEPTION AT THE CITY HALL
BOCCIA TOURNAMENT
THE CROISSANT MUSEUM
“This week was so amazing. As hosts we could show
Polish hospitality, our everyday lives and of course
have the chance to improve our English. We made
friends and had lots of fun together so that we were
unhappy that it lasted too short. During well-
organized activities no one was bored, every day we
came back home a bit tired but really delighted.
Everyone had lots of best memories. Every student -
host and guest missed that time so much and would
like to repeat this incredible experience. We would
love to meet each other again. Because
WE ALL STAND TOGETHER ”

Before the “BLENDED MOBILITY OF SCHOOL
LEARNERS” students had to work together online:
introduce themselves on eTwinning platform,
participate in a chat session, give their opinion about
the future logo, create logos, and vote for their
favourite logo.
The meeting in Poland, in Poznan, was the first face-
to-face meeting where students participated in a
number of activities.
The blended meeting of school learners was
organised by the primary school Szkoła Podstawowa
nr 2 z Oddziałami Dwujęzycznymi, one of the
partners in the Erasmus+ project »We all stand
together«. The school hosted 15 foreign students and
11 teachers from the partner schools: Greece, Italy,
Norway, Portugal and Turkey. 15 students and 5
teachers from Szkoła Podstawowa nr 2 were
involved in the Erasmus+ project week. All of the
foreign students stayed with Polish families.
The meeting began on Monday, 26th of February,
with an opening ceremony: a short cultural
programme, speeches by the headmistress of the
school Szkoła Podstawowa nr 2, Mrs Agata
Ratajczak, and the Polish school coordinator of the
project, Mrs Barbara Maciejewska- N'sir. After the
performance and school exploration, students took
part in the integration workshop where they were
divided into small groups and wrote short stories
about people with disabilities and their problems in
daily life. At the same time teachers had eTwinning
workshops run by eTwinning ambassador Barbara
Maciejewska-N’sir.
Guests also met the youngest children in the school.
It was a really interesting experience because
children could not understand why guests do not
know what they are saying. The afternoon activities
took place outdoors visiting the city, admiring
beautiful churches, The Old Town and one of the
greatest shopping centre in Poznan – The Old
Brewery. Although it was freezing outside, the group
spent fantastic time together!
On Tuesday, 27th of February students and teachers
went to the primary school in Swarzędz (the town
near Poznań), specialized in work with disabled
students. There was an opportunity to observe Boccia
tournament organized by The University of Physical
Education workers- Phd Magdalena Koper and her
students. Boccia is a precision ball sport, created for
children with physical disabilities. Boccia can be
played by individuals, pairs, or teams of three. The
aim of the game is to throw leather balls - coloured
red or blue, as close as they can to a white target
ball, or jack. It was really amazing to see how
disabled students were involved in this tournament.
Erasmus+ group of students and teachers also
participated in Boccia tournament, explored the
school and listened to the presentation about this
discipline.
On this day, after the visit at the nearby school, the
whole group went to the agritourism farm in
Hermanów to spend time together riding on
horsecars, exploring stables and dancing together.
Everybody came back with plenty of good memories.

Wednesday, 28th of February started with the
official reception at the President’s Office in the City
Hall. There was an occasion to explain main goals of
the project and ask questions about the city. After
that visit students were divided in small groups and
took part in location-based game in the city centre.
Meanwhile, teachers visited Social Care House for
people with severe intellectual disabilities.
Wednesday’s afternoon was filled out with the
dissemination event - "Open doors" at school. During
this event there were shown the advantages of the
school. Guests could see classrooms, learn about
the school's activities, the curriculum. An additional
element worth noting for visitors was the ongoing
"Erasmus +" exchange, during which school visitors
had the opportunity to meet students from many
countries. The school organized attractions such as
physical experiments, dramas, performances, a
volunteer circle, the opportunity to talk with teachers
participating in the project. At the same time
everyone had the opportunity to dance some
popular and traditional dances and integrate.
Thursday, 1st of March, was great to have a
workshop at Poznan Croissant Museum and
Experience. The whole group had an opportunity to
learn how to make croissants and how to speak
Poznan cant. Everybody was involved in that activity
and had a lot of fun. Foreign guests could also
watch the clock on the Town Hall with the symbol of
Poznan- butting goats at midday.
One of the main goals of this blended mobility of
school learners was to create an anthem of the
project. The music workshop was held on 1st March,
run by Phd Szymon Tritt from The University of Music.
All the students willingly cooperated and produced
wonderful piece of music that became the anthem.
They created two verses, refrain and bridge – solo for
one of the student. Finally everybody sang it with the
student’s accompanying on the guitar.
Simultaneously teachers worked on the project – they
made the summary of the pilot study on the
questionnaires connected with integration issues and
decided about the final logo of the project among
the two with the same number of votes.
Friday, the last day of the blended mobility of school
learners, was relatively short, but packed with tons of
emotions. In the morning everybody evaluated the
meeting and participated in a farewell ceremony.
The participants received certificates and sang the
beautiful anthem composed entirely by students.
Then the tears began to fall and they did not stop for
long hours. The last evening guests spent with their
host-families trying to get as much from this little
time left. This week and this last day left a lasting
impression on either visitors or hosts.
go,
go,
go!
