 Simple machines are devices with few or no moving
parts that make work easier. The common examples
of simple machines are;-
 Wedge
 wheel and axle
 Lever
 inclined plane
 Screw
 pulley
 Crane
 Excavator

Axle

involved in moving an
object, making the
object easier to
transport.

A lever simple
machine
consists of a
load, a fulcrum
and effort (or
force). The load
is the object that

lifted. The
fulcrum is the
pivot point, and
the effort is the
force required to
lift or move the
load.

easier to lift something.
Think of a ramp. Engineers
use ramps to easily move
objects to a greater height.

• Excavator are heavy construction
Equipment consisting of dipper,
bucket and cab on a rotating
platform known as the house.
• In excavator mainly used hydraulic
mechanism so, it can carry a load
very simply.
• In excavator main parts are
hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic
motor.
