• Operating System is a software, which makes a
computer to actually work.
• The operating system is the core software component of
your computer.
• It is the software the enables all the programs we use.
• The OS organizes and controls the hardware.
• OS acts as an interface between the application
programs and the machine hardware.

Ex. As Network engineer, no need to install Accounting Software
▫ Disable all available startup services & programs
msconfig - disable (skype, gtalk, adobe, auto update…)
▫ Prepare Desktop properly
Arrange as Categories
• Weekly maintenance
▫ Check & delete
Temporary file : Run -> temp, %temp% or,
Run -> cleanmgr, then tick what you wanna delete.
